Pampa City Commission To Hold Budget Hearings On Tuesday

The Pampa City Commission will conduct a Public Hearing Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. at City Hall at 201 West Kingsmill St in the 3rd Floor Commission Chambers. The Commission will hear comments on a proposal to increase the total tax revenue from properties on the tax roll in the upcoming tax year by 4.73% Resident' s individual taxes may increase at a greater or lesser rate, or even decrease, depending on the change in the taxable value of all other property and the tax rate that is adopted. If the governing body adopts the proposed tax rate of $0.663921 per $100 of taxable value, the amount of taxes imposed this year on an average homestead valued at $133,237 will be $884.59. The Commission will also consider approving on first reading an Ordinance amending fees for Animal Control Services.
